The window film options from 3M are professionally applied by well-trained, authorized 3M window film dealers. Nearly all of our window films are manufactured to be applied to the inside of window glass.
The initial step is to prepare the glass area where the window film will be applied; laying out drop cloths on the floor under windows to protect flooring and moving furniture if it is necessary.
When the first step is complete, the inside of the window is cleaned using a simple solution like water and ammonia. The technicians completing installation might need to implement razor blade scrapers in the process if window has debris on the inside. Then a spray slip solution made from detergent and water is applied to the film for proper positioning, and it is applied to the window itself. Using a specially designed professional grade squeegee and following appropriate techniques, the window film application is completed by removing any excess water, trimming film edges, and one last squeegee technique is used to dry the window film edges.
