Superman…
Wednesday, October 8th, 2008Well, today Superman got hit squarely between the eyes by a large and jagged chunk of Kryptonite…in the form of a little puppy named Bo. Bogart, or Bo for short, has been Ty’s little brother for about six months now.
We buried Bo this afternoon.
Bo was at the vet to have his little puppy parts fixed like all puppies should. Everything was going fine with what is usually a very minor surgery when his heart simply stopped. The Vet did everything she could, but there was no bringing him back.
My wife was absolutely beside herself…only something happening to Wesley could have possibly hit her harder. Telling Wesley was absolutely one of the worst experiences of my life. We all had a major cry and then we laid him to rest under his favorite tree in our back yard.
Now here I am, the big, gruff, professional business owner. The same one that saw having a tumor the size of a grapefruit as simply a major annoyance. The one that works 80+ hours a week with no problem. When I got the news it was if my head was crushed like a soda can under a sumo wrestler. Life is not fair, but life goes on.
